Earl Boren, 77, of Atkins, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born Lessley Earl Boren on September 26, 1932, to Arlis Ray and Georgia Gelene Walls Boren in Ozark, Arkansas and is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dortha Hass Boren; a daughter, Darlene (Jimmy Floyd) Epperson of Atkins; a son, Earl Ray (Cricket Miller) Boren of Campwood, Texas; grandchildren, Jeremy (Rachel) Epperson and Karen Epperson Roberts both of Atkins, Tyler (Cassie) Boren and Garrett (Megan) Boren, both of Monticello, Robert Howell and Jessie Howell, both of Russellville; eight great-grandchildren, Cody Roberts, Colton Epperson, Jackson Boren, Trent Boren, Anna Collins Boren, Allison Boren, and Logan and Landon Seaton; sisters, Maxine (Dale) Mallett and Lillie (Bobby) Norman, both of Atkins, Eula Jean (George) Thomey of Morrilton, and Charlotte (Gerald) Johnston of Springdale; and several uncles, aunts and cousins. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 8, at Lemley Funeral Chapel, the Rev. David Bishop and the Rev. Robert Norman officiating. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Harris, Doug Boren, Philip Klober, Philip Boren, Tyler Boren and Garrett Boren. Memorials may made be to Arkansas Hospice, 2405 East Parkway, Russellville, AR 72802.
