Earlie McGowan

Earlie McGowan, 81, of Atkins, died Wednesday March 2, 2011, at Atkins Nursing Center. He was born in Appleton February 26, 1930, the son of Charles P. and Effie Wiley McGowan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lola L. McGowan; brother, Elbert H. McGowan; and a grandson, Justin A. McGowan. He is survived by two daughters, Robin L. and husband Johnny Beavers and Anita J. and husband Kris Melton; brother, Harold Fay and wife Helen McGowan, all of Appleton; special friend, Maxine Dean; and three grandchildren, Tony Melton, Amanda Melton and Eric J. Beavers. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, March 4, 2011 at Evans Mountain Full Gospel Church with Rev. Randall Williams and Rev. Darwin Barnhouse officiating. Burial is in Appleton Cemetery by Lemley Funeral of Atkins. Visitation is Thursday from 6-8:00 PM. Pallbearers are Ronnie Curtis, Billy Curtis and Sean Brown.
