Edna Alexander, 88, of Atkins, died Friday, February 11, 2011 at home. She was born November 25, 1922 in Atkins to the late John A. and Eva Duvall. She loved God, family, friends and life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey Alexander; son, Carroll “Punk” Alexander; four brothers, Roy, Bill, Ray, and John “Junior” Duvall; and three sisters, Florence Freeman, Nora Leigh Eakin and Emma Jean Roberts. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Terry Ewell; daughter-in-law, Donna Alexander; brother-in-law and wife, Billy and Juanita Fields; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Imogene Booher, and Mary and Frank Hicks; sisters-in-law, Wilma Duvall and Ernestine Hawkins and husband Tommy; grandchildren, Kelly and Kurt Bean, Terri Lynn and Ivan Traylor, and Darci and Matt Long; great-grandchildren, Kristen Bean, Micah, Mason, Alex and Drew Traylor, and Maddox and Sady Long. Visitation is Monday from 6:30-8:00 PM at Lemley Funeral Chapel. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice Russellville, 2405 East Parkway, Suite 3, Russellville, AR 72801.
