Evelene Turner, 79, of Atkins, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. She was born October 17, 1938, in Atkins, daughter of the late Sam May and Myrtle Smith Dixon. She was a member of Palmetto Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters. She is survived by her husband, Dwight Turner; 3 sisters, Eulene McClaren of Atkins, Janet Holyfield of Russellville, and Maxine Rudder of Ben Hur; and 24 nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 12, at Lemley Chapel, with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Burial is in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at Lemley Chapel. Pallbearers are David Rudder, Thomas Rudder, Johnny Rudder, Jr., and Keith McNutt.
