Mrs. Evelyn Coffman a longtime resident of Atkins since 1947 has died on March 22, 2008 at Greenbrier Nursing and Rehab. Center. She was born on May 22, 1927 at Detroit, MI. She was the daughter of the late Robert Bruce and Celia Szczechowicz Hendrie was preceded in death by her husband Haulie B. Coffman. She was survived by nine children and spouses, Robert and June Coffman, Bun and Robin Coffman, David and Melissa Coffman, Don and Nancy Coffman, Toni and Kevin Leidholm, Barbara Coffman Johnson, Ramona and Dale Maxwell, Martha and William Wilkinson and Margaret Brady Rojas, 20 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 44 step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, and a sister, Ann Dest of St. Claire Shore, MI. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Church of the Assumption in Atkins with the Rev. Father Bill Thomas officiating. Private family burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service. Rosary and visitation will be 6:00 to 8:30 PM Tuesday at Lemley Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers will be Todd Coffman, Eric Coffman, Ozzie Haney, Derek Leidholm, Dwight Leidholm, Kevin Casteel.
