George Cain

George Cain Jr., 80, 0f Dover, went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2015 at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. He was born February 22, 1935 in Rayville, Louisiana, son of the late George Sr. and Cora Eva Cater Cain. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Kenneth Scott Cain; mother and father-in-law, Nancy and Oscar Jones; two brothers, Rufus and Edward Cain; and a sister, Thelma Stacy. He was a lifetime member of the Church of God and a retired carpenter. He loved hunting, building stuff, and being with his family. He always had a story to tell or a joke to share. He loved his wife and was always ready to give her a kiss. He was a wonderful Dad and Grandpa. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Joyce Cain of Dover; daughter, Deborah McDaniel and husband Ronnie of Dover; son, Kenneth Cain of Dover; daughter, Sheila Ford and husband Doug of Dover; son, Jim Perkins and wife Lisa of Branson; brothers, Edgar Cain and wife Katherine of Cave City, Roy Cain and wife Jeanie of Russellville, and Billy Cain and wife Millie of Dover; sisters, Myrlene and husband James E. Cossey of Cleveland, TN, and Louise Sugg of Delhi, LA.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Roy Cain and Rev. James E. Cossey officiating. Burial is in Saint Paul Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, at Lemley Chapel. Pallbearers are Nicholas Cain, Joe Cain, Joshuah Ramey, Dakota Rowland, Justin Keeling, and Adam Ford.
