Georgia Mae ”Dixie” Haralson, 84, of Atkins, died Sunday, February 7, 2010, at her home. Georgia was born March 27, 1925, in Atkins, and was the daughter of the late Earnest and Olgie Jackson Wright. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil “Bob” Haralson, a great-granddaughter, Rebecca Kaylin Goates and two brothers, David Wright and William Wright. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Atkins EH Club, and the Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert S. Haralson of Atkins, Philip D. and Deidre Haralson of North Little Rock; a daughter and son-in-law, Ramona K. and Jerry Trew of Little Rock; three sisters, Jeanette Haralson of Atkins, Laverne Massingill of Morrilton, Louise Rachel of Kissimmee, FL; grandchildren, Kimberly Standridge, Melanie Ward, Rowdy Sweet, Delaney Haralson, Mike Durden, Jimmy Robinson; and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. David Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday. Pallbearers will be the deacons of the Union Grove Church.
