Gerald D. May, 70, of Atkins went to be with his Lord and Savior June 5, 2010, at his home. He was born August 2, 1939, in Atkins. He was preceded in death by his father, George Price and brother, David Johnston, grandparents, Gus and Ora Welcher. He was retired, owner and operator of B&M Sign Company of Fort Smith and a member of Atkins First Baptist Church. He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty May of Atkins; mother; Iva Price of Charleston, daughter; Rhonda Slate of Fayetteville; son, Gary May of Tampa Florida, step son; Marty Wayne Flowers of Center Ridge, step daughter; Robin Diane Foshee of Center Ridge, brother; Troy May of Charleston, 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Atkins First Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Tyler officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Carl Coleman, Rob May, Wes May, Doyle Cook, Danny Cheek, Bobby Barber. Visitation will be Monday evening 6-7:30 pm at the funeral home.
