Jackie Lee Johnson, 66, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018, at his home. He was born July 12, 1951, in Hot Springs, son of the late Devon and Beverly Steele Johnson of Mt. Pine.
He was a Vietnam War Veteran and served in the United States Air Force. He was proud to serve his country and received several accommodation medals. Jackie started work at Arkansas Nuclear One in 1982 as a Fire Protection Engineer and retired in 2007. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Joey Johnson, Jerry Johnson, and Johnny Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Rene Hayes Johnson; daughters, Mandy Johnson of Hot Springs, and Kalya Hayes Rachel (James) of Farmington; son, Cameron Johnson of Russellville; brother, Jimmy Johnson (Lin) of Hot Springs; 5 grandchildren, Ashlynn, Jaclynn, Gavin, Blakely, and Braelynn; and co-worker and friend, Felix Bryan.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 23, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. David Bishop officiating. Burial is in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
