James Elmer Ennis, 79, of Atkins, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born December 7, 1933, in Atkins, the son of James Ernest and Hazel Reynolds Ennis. He was a Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerry Ennis; and two brothers-in-law, Doug Patton and Rev. Bill Williams. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Ennis; son, Jamie Ennis and wife Ashley; 2 grandsons, Cole and Carter Ennis; step-grandson, Hadley Ralston; 4 brothers, John R. Ennis and wife Carolyn, Billy Joe Ennis, Walter Ennis and wife Kathy, and Bobby Ennis and wife Karen; and 2 sisters, Leoda Williams and Sharon Patton. Graveside service and burial is 10:00 AM Friday, February 8, at St. Joe Cemetery with Rev. David Bishop officiating. Visitation is 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at Lemley Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home, c/o Arkansas Hospice, 2405 E. Parkway, Suite 3, Russellville, AR 72802.
