James Wade Obituary

James C. Wade, 63, of Atkins, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He was born February 3, 1944, in Russellville, AR, and was the son of the late Bobbie Nell Burns Wade and J. C. Wade. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Lloyd Rudder; paternal grandparents, Jim and Calla Wade and two half-brothers, Allen Rudder and Jeff Wade. He was a past employee of many newspapers across the country, as well as the Arkansas Gazette for 25 years, was owner of Jim Wade Trucking, member of International Typographical Union, a 32nd Degree Mason with the Iron Springs Lodge #342, and a Protestant. He is survived by his wife, Faye Wade; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rob and Amy Wade of North Little Rock and Jim Wade of Jefferson; a step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Sonny and Tammy Brown of Russellville; a step-daughter, Jana Dunlap of Little Rock; one brother, Wayne Wade of Nova, Ohio; six half-brothers, Steve Wade and Kenny Wade of Fargo, Oklahoma, Bob Rudder and David Rudder of Little Rock, Bruce Wade and Ronnie Wade of Florida; and three grandchildren, Jessica Wade and Robby Wade of North Little Rock and Katelyn Dunlap of Little Rock. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 1, 2007, at Lemley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charley Casto officiating. Burial will be in Rankin Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday. Pallbearers will be James Carson, Jackie Ferguson, Wayne Langford, Jerry Pearson, Tommy Rice and Jim Rudder.
