Janice Austin Jay, 69, of Atkins, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at her home. She was born December 14, 1943, in Atkins, the daughter of Dude and Eula Keener Austin. She was a member of the Pottsville Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Randall Kinslow; and four brothers, Troy Austin, Maurice Austin, Keith Austin and Guy Reed. She is survived by her husband, Roger Jay; son, Robert Kinslow; grandson, Randall Kinslow; 2 brothers, Bob Reed and Larry Austin; 2 step-sons, Rog and Richard Jay; step-daughter, Heather Jay Howard; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2:00 PM Saturday, February 9, at Pottsville Assembly of God Church with Rev. Sam Austin officiating. Burial is in Atkins City Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Lemley Chapel. Pallbearers are Jerry Jay, Jeffrey Austin, Larry Shingleur, Ralph Head, Tim Hill, Roy Jay, Richard Jay and Wayne Terwilliger.
