Jeannette Loyena (Claggett) Stephenson of Atkins, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep on February 14, 2020 at River Chase Rehabilitation and Care Center in Morrilton, Arkansas. As she requested, her ashes will be buried next to her mother at the family plot, located in Manzanola, Colorado. Jeannette was born on July 31, 1938 in Rocky Ford, Colorado, and the third daughter in a home of four girls. She loved nothing more in this world than creating beauty for her family and dear friends. She was a talented artist and author, sharing her love with those lucky enough to be around her. In her later years she spent hours researching family history to be shared with future generations. Jeannette is predeceased by her husband, Bobby Stephenson; her stepdaughter, Theresa Crigger; her sister Sheila Gallegor; her parents, Goldie Grooms and Emmett Claggett; and many beloved pets. She is survived by her children, daughter Sharlene Henry (Dave) of Greenville, South Carolina; son Lonnie Warren (Katherine) of Greeley, Colorado; her grandchildren, Brittany Warren-Duncan (Andrew) and Brady Warren of Greeley, Colorado; her stepdaughters, Beverly Mahoney, Deanna Giersch, and Kimalee Stephenson; her sisters, Myrna Finke (Daniel) and Amy LeVan (Kim) both of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A service to celebrate her life, and the faith she had in her Lord Jesus Christ, will be held at Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church, 77 Union Grove Road, Atkins, Arkansas on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 3:00 pm., to be officiated by Pastor Scott Warren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society of Arkansas.
