Jerrel Turner, 86, of Atkins, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Brookridge Cove Nursing Center in Morrilton. He was born February 16, 1929, in Morrilton, son of the late George F. and Eunice Anderson Turner. He was a member of Calvary Temple Church where he served as deacon for many years. He was also a 32nd degree Mason and member of Morrilton Lodge #105. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clyde Turner; 3 sisters, Mary Sanders, Jean Urquhart, and Euna Mae Gibby; son-in-law, Don Pearman; and granddaughter, Traci Pearman. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mae Ruth Turner; daughter, Linda Pearman; grandson, Donny Pearman and wife Pam; granddaughter, Staci and husband Scott Duvall; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Roy Paul Turner and wife Reba, and George Turner and wife Jeanetta; sister, Claudia Stracener; and numerous extended family, church family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 10, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Mike Norberg and Rev. Devoe Campbell officiating. Burial is at Oakland Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday. Pallbearers are Donny Pearman, Scott Duvall, Rusty Gadberry, Charles Smith, Jeff Lewis and Dan Hattabaugh.
