Joel Robert “Bobby” Dixon, 85, of Dardanelle, died July 1, 2020, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born February 8, 1935, in St. Charles, son of the late Joel Robertson and Nelia Haller Dixon. Bobby was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School and the University of Arkansas Fayetteville with a degree in Agriculture Business. His early career included working in the family business at Exchange Furniture and he was the owner of Dixon’s Feed and Seed, both in Pine Bluff. While living in Cleveland County, Bobby served on the Quorum Court. He retired from the Army National Guard. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Russellville. His hobby was raising cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Louis A. Dixon. He is survived by his wife, Mary Negielee Coleman Dixon of Dardanelle; 4 children and their families, Cheryl Lynn Dixon of Fairfax, Virginia, Mary Bob (Marty, Megan, John) McDaniel of Russellville, Robert Dale (Claudia, Miller, Caroline, Andrew, Matthew) of Atkins, and Bonnie Ruth (Lincoln) Barr of Russellville; and one brother, Charles Richard (Andrea) Dixon of Valdosta, Georgia. A family conducted graveside service will be held at a later date at Bells Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Michael Cloud officiating.
