John Ennis

John R. Ennis, 76, of Dover, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born November 4, 1937, in Atkins, son of the late James Ernest and Hazel Reynolds Ennis. He was a charter member and deacon of the Dover Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, James Ennis, Jerry Ennis and Billy Joe Ennis; and 2 brothers-in-law, Rev. Bill Williams and Douglas Patton. He is survived by his wife, Mary C. Ennis; son, Kevin H. Ennis; grandson, Christopher Ennis; 2 brothers, Walter Ennis and wife Kathy, and Bobby Ennis and wife Karen; 2 sisters, Leoda Williams and Sharon Patton; and a sister-in-law, Mary E. Ennis. Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 5, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Geno Johnston and Rev. Herb Tilley officiating. Burial is in St. Joe Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday. Honorary pallbearers are Ron Turner, Kenneth Riggs, Tim Hull and Jim McVay. Online obituary and condolences are available at www.lemleyfuneral.com.
