John Minton, 78, of Hector, passed away at his home Sunday, October 11, 2020. He was born May 23, 1942 son of the late Henry Lee “Jeff” and Annie Snow Goulds Minton. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Betty Ward Minton; and brother, Archie James Minton. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Stella Yarbrough Minton; 6 children, Debi McGuire, Amanda Minton, Karen Minton and husband Blake Soper, Sharon and husband Jamie Reavis, Patricia Ann Minton, and Kim and husband DR Hogan; 13 grandchildren, Cameron and Connor Schweikert, Cordell, Lynsey, and Hunter Draves, Ashley Hall (Trevor), Michael Keeley, and Summer Keeley, Ryan and Nena Reavis, Tyler Reavis, Zachary, Haley, and Rylan Hogan; 7 great-grandchildren, Olan and Braxton Hall, Audrey, Skylar and Gabriella Reavis, and Ashlynn and Kamden Keeley; sisters, Edith and Tom McNeil, and Cindy and Jeff Whitney; and brother, Ed Minton. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 13, at Lemley Chapel with Bro. Jim Huffman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Graveside service and burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Istachatta, Florida, at a later date. Local arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
