Johnny Lee Chisum, 74, of Hector, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017, in Yell County. He was born March 5, 1942, in Ben Hur, son of the late William and Ora Frazier Chisum. He loved spending his time in the log woods and watching his grandsons play ball. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Alvie Chisum and James Chisum; and a sister, Ollie Fae Freeman. He is survived by 2 sons, Billy Chisum and wife Tami, and Wendell Chisum; 2 daughters, Brenda and husband Aaron Gumpenberger, and Tanya Turney; wife, Pat Chisum; 2 sisters, Eunice and husband Don Pack, and Alta and husband Harl Ledford; grandchildren, Jordan Chisum, Jacob Chisum, Jeff Duvall and wife Jordan, Justin Duvall and wife Brittany, Jerrod Jackson and wife Sidney, Josh Brown, Mikal Behm and wife Brittany, Mikailah Gumpenberger, Maddie Gumpenberger, Logan Stigler, J’Sha Williams, and Zachary Turney; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Monday, February 6, at Victory Assembly of God with Bro. Mike Chisum, Bro. Roy Chisum and Bro. Leonard Chisum officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, at Lemley Chapel. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
