Justin Grant Mitchell

Justin Grant Mitchell, 34, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009. He was born August 24, 1974 in Russellville and raised in Atkins. Justin was a 1993 graduate of Atkins High School and a 1999 graduate of Arkansas Tech University. He was a former president of the Young Democrats of Arkansas. In 2008, he was appointed by Governor Mike Beebe to the State Board of Workforce Education and Career Opportunities. He was preceded in death by his father, David Mitchell, and his grandparents, J.C. and Jean Mitchell and Maxine Lem. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Mitchell, his wife, Ari Stanage-Mitchell of Little Rock, Arkansas, his mother and step-father Ann and Freddie Davis, his brother, Blake DeSalvo, step-brother Allen Davis, all of Atkins, Arkansas, step-sister, Kim Williams, of Booneville, Arkansas, and a whole host of family and friends. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 8, at Pottsville Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Sam Austin officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Pallbearers are Aaron Adcock, Zack Adcock, Brad Bennett, Allen Davis, T. R. White, Matt Hogue. Honorary Pallbearers are Kenneth Barnes and Jon Wilkerson. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Atkins Civic Team - Justin Mitchell Memorial Fund, c/o Liberty Bank of Arkansas, P.O. Box 157, Atkins, Ar. 72823.
