Kevin Ronald Bewley

Kevin Ronald Bewley, 27, of Oak Harbor, Washington, formerly of Caglesville, died in Sala ad Din Province, Iraq, Monday, November 5, 2007, from wounds suffered in service to his country. He was born April 18, 1980, at Russellville. A graduate of Hector High School, Kevin had a lifelong dream of joining the military, seeing the world and making an impact on the lives of others. He spent two tours of duty in Iraq as a member of the Navy’s elite EOD Mobile Unit 11 Bomb Disposal Squad. While in service Kevin was responsible for the disposal of hundreds of terrorist bombs through which he protected thousands of American and Iraqi lives. He loved adventure and the outdoors and he lived his life with no regrets. He is survived by his father, Ronald J. “Duke” Bewley of Caglesville; mother, Connie K. Whitaker of Greenbrier; daughter, McKinnzie Bewley of San Antonio, Texas; and one brother, J.Patrick Bewley of Conway. Graveside service and burial with Military Honors will be 10:00 AM, Monday, November 12, 2007, at Crossroads Cemetery near Appleton by Lemley Funeral Service. The Rev. Michael Galloway will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 PM Sunday. Online guestbook and obituary are available www.lemleyfuneral.com.
