On Friday, April 26, 2013, Leon Byrum, 69, of Atkins, entered his eternal home in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born October 19, 1943, in Atkins, the son of Marvin William Byrum and Evelyn Duvall-Byrum. Surviving with Lavenia, his loving wife of 50 years, are their 2 daughters: Tanya – Mrs. Mike Wyllia of Atkins, and Tosha – Mrs. Jesse Palmer of Plainview. He is also remembered by his sister Jane – Mrs. Larry Browning of Hope, and his 2 beautiful granddaughters, Heidi Katlene and Livia Kate Palmer of Plainview. Funeral services are 2:00 PM Monday, April 29, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. True Fitch and Rev. Hank Duvall officiating. Burial is in Shady Grove Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
