Lillian Corbett Motley Obituary

Lillian Corbett Motley, 83, of Atkins, Arkansas, died March 12, 2008. She was born October 23 1924, in Pope County, Arkansas, to Alex and Hodie Sweeden Corbett, the fifth of ten children. Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, David and Pat Corbett; and sisters, Mary McKinnon, Salena Cantwell, Dean Poole and Jean Papp. Surviving her are three sons, Allan and wife Margaret of Pottsville, Greg of Las Vegas, NV, Mark and wife Rhonda of Atkins; three grandsons, David Motley of Little Rock, Ryan and Eric Motley of Atkins; sisters, Maxie Goodwin of Broken Arrow, OK, Rebecca Neuwirth of Issaquah, WA, Carolyn Masler of Trail, OR. Lillian was an active member of the Atkins United Methodist Church, involved with Christmas and Easter programs and decorating for all seasons. For several years she was Activity Director at Stella Manor Nursing Home in Russellville. Her family and friends will remember her as a wonderful cook, a loving mother and grandmother and an extremely talented woman. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday March 15, 2008, at Lemley Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Robert Woody officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday. Memorials can be made to the United Methodist Church, 306 North Church, Atkins, AR 72823.
