Liselotte (Lottie) Reid, 89, of Jerusalem, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015, at Morrilton, Arkansas. She was born June 22, 1926, in Bergen-Enkheim, Germany, daughter of Jacob and Ella Marie Schubert Hahn. She married James V. Reid, October 29, 1946, in Frankfurt, Germany. Liselotte was a true war bride. She came to the U.S. by ship in 1948 with her husband James and baby daughter Geraldine. They had two more children, Ella Faye (Dobber) and James (Jimmy) V. Reid, Jr. She enjoyed reading, sewing, shopping, interior decorating, traveling, and kaffeeklatsch with her German lady friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ella Faye (Dobber) Reid Sanford; brother, Heinz Hahn; and her parents.
She is survived by her husband, James, of the home; daughter, Geraldine and husband Zeke Mefford of Canadian, Oklahoma; son, James V. Reid, Jr. and wife Kim of Burlington, Wisconsin; cousin Emmy Kostrov of Wehrheim, Germany; 5 grandchildren, Jamie, Mike, Dawn, Johnny, and Vicki; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A family conducted memorial service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, October 16, at Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church, with Pastor Dalton Molloy officiating.
