Lorene Rackley

Lorene Rackley, 97, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020, at River Chase Nursing and Care Center in Morrilton. She was born July 4, 1923, on Isabel Creek, to William Chester and Alice Venable Johnson, the second of ten children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hollie Gene Rackley; her sisters and their spouses, Audra (Ernest) Powers, Betty (Jack) Powers, Nona Ruth (Joe D.) Baker, and Wilma (Don) Burris); and two brothers, Dolan Johnson and an infant; great-grandson, Dylan Thompson; and a daughter-in-law, Pearl Rackley. She is survived by her son, Carl Rackley; and a daughter, Judy Rackley, both of Russellville; two brothers, Dalton Johnson (Shirley) and Don (Wilma) Johnson; and a sister, Glenda Duvall, all of Russellville; grandson, Mike Rackley of Oppelo; granddaughter, Tracey Rackley Thompson of Pottsville; great-grandchildren, Cari (Jeremy) Curtis, Cole Chism, Cade Rackley, and Carson Rackley; and great-great-grandchildren, Audrey Caroline Curtis and Beau Graham Curtis. Funeral services are 3:00 PM, Monday, December 28, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. David Bishop officiating. Burial is in Bowden Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to services at the chapel. Pallbearers are Stephen Duvall, Eric Duvall, Wesley Duvall, Jerry Burris, Keith Bowden, and Brian Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers are James Ashmore and Randal Isom. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of River Chase for the exceptional love and care given to Lorene during her time there.
