Louetta Jane Duvall

Louetta Jane Brewer Duvall, 70, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017, at her home in Pottsville. She was born on Pine Ridge, south of Pottsville, to the late Ike and Maureen Reynolds Brewer. According to her mother, she was born on April 4, 1947 in the home but the doctor’s wife filled out the birth certificate with April 3. Known as Louetta to family and Jane to her school friends, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She attended all her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Louetta enjoyed sewing and knitting, especially for her grandchildren. She was a devoted member of the Pine Ridge Free Will Baptist Church. Louetta was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jerry Wayne Duvall, sister and brother-in-law Rosie and Leland Patterson, brother James Brewer, brothers-in-law, Paul and Larry Duvall, and father- and mother-in-law, Charles and Nona Ruth Burris Duvall. Louetta is survived by her daughters Pamela Scarber and husband, Tim; Laura Porter and fiancé Billy Smardo and son Jacob Smardo; Benita Drew and husband Jason; grandchildren Zachary Vaughn and fiancé Darla Brannam, Logan Porter, and Issac and Issabella Drew, all of Pottsville; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Wanda Brewer of Conway; sister-in-law Betty Brewer of Atkins; sister-in-law and husband Glenda and Gary Kimball of Dover; brother-in-law and wife Eddie and Judy Duvall of Wooster; sister-in-law Christy Duvall of Pottsville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 5, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Hank Duvall and Rev. David Bishop officiating. Burial is in Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, at Lemley Chapel.
