Marilyn Stroud

Marilyn Jean Stroud, 67, of Atkins, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012 at her home. She was born August 27, 1944 in Three Rivers, Michigan the daughter of Elvin and Jean Mohney Arver. Prior to her illness, Marilyn was an avid reader who enjoyed crafts and practicing yoga. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Doris Ray Stroud; her father, Elvin Arver; and a brother, Bruce Arver. She is survived by her mother; 4 step-children, Stephen Stroud of Clarksville, Tim Stroud and wife Maynette of Vilonia, Ginger Tippit and husband Joel of Russellville and Dawn and husband Michael Nabours of Searcy; 3 daughters, Carol Bell of Grand Junction, Colorado, Kim Fehr of Mountain View and Gayle and husband Steve Fuller of Neptune Beach, Florida; two brothers, Robert Arver of Colorado and William Arver of Washington; 4 sisters, Karen Smith of Indiana, Donna Navar of Texas, Diane Van Norman of Mississippi and Ellen Kittel of New Mexico; eleven grandchildren, Lauren, Nathan, Carley, Luke, Kacie, Danielle, Carly, Seth, Alex, Zoe and Sophia; a great-grandchild on the way, Carter Luke Bell; and several nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services are 2:00 PM Thursday, January 26 at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Don Irwin officiating. Private burial is in Robertstown Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held an hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 2405 E. Parkway Suite 3, Russellville, AR 72801.
