Norma Ruth Johnson Obituary

Norma Ruth (Jennings) Johnson, 82, of Russellville, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at her home. She was born August 29, 1933, in Perryville, Arkansas, daughter of the late Samuel M. and Bessie Jennings, She graduated from Clinton High School, and enjoyed traveling with her family, cross stitch and reading. She was a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Russellville. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Teeter J Johnson; parents, Samuel and Bessie Jennings; sister, Louise Jennings; 3 brothers, Sammie Jennings, Ernest Jennings, and John Jennings; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Huntsberry. Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Johnson and wife Cindy of Atkins, and Bobby Sams and wife Cheryl of Platte City, MO; daughter, Karan (Sue) and husband Ronald Kimmel of Texarkana; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; extended family; and many friends who will all miss her very much. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 8, at Lemley Chapel with Pastor Mike Love officiating. Private burial is in Pisgah Cemetery in Pottsville under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM, Monday, at Lemley Chapel. Pallbearers are Ronald Kimmel, Larry Pennington, Eric Brannon, T.J. Sams, Travis Love and Thomas Floyd.
