Paul Reed

Paul Ray Reed, born Dec. 2, 1926, to Rufus and Annie Reed in Pope County, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 2, 2017. He was a member of Happy Valley Assembly of God Church and loved the Lord with all his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Tom Reed, L.C. Reed, Charlie Reed, Joe Reed, Jessie Reed, and Raymond Reed; two sisters, Esther May Reed Duvall and Carolyn Reed; a son, Jimmy Reed; and one granddaughter, Michelle Wilson Chisum. He is survived by his wife of 64 years and the love of his life, Buna Kinder Reed; daughter, Sharon and husband Bobby Wilson; son, Scotty Reed and wife Danthoni, and son Bobby Reed and wife Kacy; as well as 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Paul Ray wanted to thank all the AmCare workers and nurses, especially Suzie. The service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 5 , 2017, at Happy Valley Assembly of God Church. Officiating the service will be Scott Garrison and Jeff Howell. Pallbearers will be Donnie Duvall, Paul Wayne Duvall, Warren Cochran, Kenneth Warren, Sam Reed and Danny Johnston. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Welsh and Thomas Duvall. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at Lemley Funeral Service.
