Phyllis Jayne McCarty, 63, of Atkins, died Saturday, November 19, 2011 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born March 21, 1948 in Anna, Illinois the daughter of Fred and Phyllis Kirk Courtright. She was of the Free Will Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson; 1 step-brother and 1 step-sister. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jack McCarty of Atkins; a daughter, Tracy McCarty of Atkins; 2 sons, Kevin and wife Angela McCarty of Steger, Illinois and Jody and wife Lisa McCarty of Jacksonville, Florida; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 sisters, Kim and husband Mark Hoevker and Heather and husband Dan Dollahan all of Steger, Illinois; 1 brother, Steven and wife Kim Courtright of Plainfield, Illinois; and a step-brother, Patrick Ewers of Colorado. Graveside service and burial is 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 23 at Shiloh Cemetery with Rev. Jamie Burris officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at Lemley Chapel.
