Raymond D. Chedester, 87, of Atkins died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Conway Regional Hospital. He was born September 15, 1924, the son of Jollie and Annie Cline Chedester. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna Lou Chedester; and son, Charles Chedester. He was a retired U.S. Air Force Communications Officer having served tours in Okinawa, Labrador and Ethiopia. He was an ordained Baptist deacon and served many congregations in his travels and retirement. He is survived by two sons, Tom Chedester of Augusta, Georgia and Lee Chedester of Olney, Maryland; two grandchildren, Becky Dussault of Haverhill, MA and Michael Chedester of Richmond, VA. Memorial Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 9, at Lemley Funeral Chapel in Atkins.
