Raymond Wiley, 86, of Atkins, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016. He was born October 11, 1929, at Galla Rock near Atkins, son of the late J.A. “Alcie” and Cora E. Dixon Wiley. He was a member of the Russellville First Baptist Church, a retired farmer and barber, served in the U.S. Navy, and was the owner of Wiley Sprayer Manufacturing. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rebecca O’Dell Wiley; brother, J.E. Wiley; and sister, Nina Rose Arrington. He is survived by 2 sons, Larry Ray Wiley and wife Diana of Atkins, and John K. Wiley of Eureka Springs; 3 daughters, Janan and husband Bruce Shipley of Pottsville, Greta Parks of Texarkana, TX, and Lana Parks Davis and husband Gary Davis of Little Rock; sisters, Alma Jean Embry of Atkins and Catherine Ann Bolton of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Bruce Jame Wiley, Elizabeth Hunnicutt, Laramie S. Shipley, Ryan Shipley, Hilary Chunn, Caroline Parks, Olivia Parks, and Samantha Davis Harrington; great-grandchildren, Parker Chunn, Penelopy Chunn, Zayden Shipley, and Brantley Shipley; 10 nephews; and 7 nieces. Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Friday, January 15, at the Russellville First Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Davis and Gary Davis officiating. Burial is in Atkins City Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, at Lemley Chapel. Pallbearers are Gay Embry, Larry Wicoff, Andy Wiley, Bruce Wiley, Laramie Shipley, and Gary Davis.
