Rev. Ernest “Bill” Nowlin, 89, of Morrilton, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Morrilton. He was born January 9, 1924, in Hattieville, the son of Stephen and Bessie Lackey Nowlin. He was a retired minister of the Assembly of God Church and pastored many churches in surrounding areas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Evelyn Moore Nowlin. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Bradshaw Nowlin; daughter, Norma Boyd (Jerry); step-children, Ann Palston (Clay), Michael Scroggin (Kathy), and Robert Scroggin (Lisa); 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 10:00 AM Saturday, May 18, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Bob Perry officiating. Burial is in Elmwood Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday. Pallbearers are Jerry Boyd, Rickey Trotter, Aaron Grady, Jeremy Grady, Chris Dean and Cody Dean.
