Robert “Lightning” Standridge, 79, of Atkins, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Select Specialty Hospice in Ft. Smith. He was born June 6, 1937, son of the late William R. and Ora Lee Reid Standridge. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathy Standridge; brother, Carl Standridge; and 2 sons, Brian Walker and Lonnie Walker. He is survived by 2 daughters, Sarah and husband Donnie Brodie, and Elizabeth and husband Brian Tarkington; four sisters, Minnie Tucker, Clara Standridge , Janet Lewis and Hazel King; nine grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 7, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Terry Anthony officiating. Burial is in Bowden Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Pallbearers are Billy Ray Freeman, Mickey Turney, Billy Harris, Newton Wiley, Jack Tucker, and Brian Tarkington.
