Ruby Nell Gipson, 84, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away Friday, April 18, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, She was born August 1, 1929, daughter of the late A. Lee Palmer and Rachel Newberry Palmer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Edgar Ray Gipson, 3 brothers, William Palmer, Alfred Palmer, James E. Palmer, sister, Valetta Kindrick, nephew, Alfred Lee Palmer and niece Linda Beth Taylor. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Angela Corbin, son in law John Corbin and one grandchild Bailey Corbin of Sherwood and numerous nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly. She was a member of Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church in Sherwood. She loved crafts, fishing and camping and was an avid scrapbooker. Funeral services to be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 22, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Keith Brickell officiating. Burial is in Atkins City Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at Lemley Funeral Chapel. In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church, 9008 Highway 107, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120 or to Gideon Bibles.
