Ruby Mavis Miller
Ruby Mavis Miller, 85, of Atkins, died Wednesday, September 15, 2011, at Salem Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Conway. She was born May 17, 1926, to Sherman and Ruth McDougal. She was a retired bookkeeper from Kellam and Bates Distributing in Russellville, a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, a Sunday school teacher for many years, and former President of the Atkins PTA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Herschel Miller; her parents; and a brother, Jesse McDougal. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David Miller and wife Gina; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna Hartman and husband Steve; three grandchildren, Zach Walker and wife Sara of Dover, Kinzey Walker and Luke Miller both of Atkins; one great-grandchild, Zander Parks; a sister and brother-in-law, Freda and Bob Garrett of Conway and their children; a sister-in-law, Joyce McDougal; and a niece, Diane of Charleston. Funeral services are 10:00 AM Saturday, September 17 at Lemley Chapel. Burial is in Zion Hill Cemetery by Lemley Funeral of Atkins. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Friday. Pallbearers are Tommy Miller, Luke Miller, Ray Miller, Billy Miller, Steve Hartman and Zach Walker.Obituary
