Ruth D. Burris, 96, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born June 1, 1918, in London, daughter of the late Dolan and Clemie Worsham Burris. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Free Will Baptist Church and the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Roy Burris. She is survived by a sister, Ruby Curry of Russellville; brother, Troy Burris of Russellville; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 7, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Earl Stapleton officiating. Burial is in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Pallbearers are Dewayne Helton, J.D. Chronister, Jerry Burris, Herb Hunt, Earl Lusk, and James Lewis Henderson.
