Our dear precious mother, Syble Standridge Garrison, 89, of Ben Hur, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, May 26, 2018, at her home. She was born September 7, 1928, at Falling Water, daughter of the late Joe and Nancy George Standridge, also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Leon Garrison, a son, Joseph Garrison, granddaughter, Alicia Garrison, one sister, Icia Johnson. She was faithful to her Lord and trusted him in all situations. She was a charter member of the Ben Hur Free Will Baptist Church and a pastor’s wife. She was a devoted wife and mother and a homemaker with many talents. She was Newton County Senior Farm Woman in 2012, taking great care of her cows, the farm, and her garden.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Glen Garrison and wife Linda of Scottsville, Glendon Garrison and wife Wilma of Dover; 2 daughters, Carolyn and husband David Cooper, Marsha and husband Donnie Willis both of Deer; daughter in law, Sandy Garrison of Tilly; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; 5 brothers, Willis and Taft of Ben Hur, Ralph and Bobby of Hector and Loyd of Moreland; 2 sisters, Bonnie Sharp of Scotland, Betty Day of Dardanelle; a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 29, at Ben Hur Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Garrison and Rev. Glendon Garrison officiating. Burial is in Moore Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 PM, Monday, at Lemley Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Rex Cooper, Adam Willis, David Dale, Michael Bader, Colton Garrison, Allen Bishop .
