Tarita Engel, 51, of Atkins, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born August 30, 1963, in Corpus Christi, Texas, the daughter of Eugene and Roberta Weikle Signs. She was a University of Phoenix and Capella University alumni. She loved to antique, paint and draw, and rescue animals. She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Carey Don Signs. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Frank Engel; father, Eugene Signs and wife Dorothy; mother-in-law, Barbara Engel; father-in-law, Don Engel; 3 sons, John Paul Sutton, James Reid, and Frank Engel, Jr. and wife Jordan; daughter, Elizabeth and husband Walid Bahnasi; 6 grandchildren, Raouf Bahnasi, Mackenzie Sutton, Gabriel Sutton, Piper Sutton, Rebecca Engel, and Ben Engel; sister, Marge Chalker; and 2 step-sisters, Shirley and husband Alfred Thomas, and Cindy and husband Carrol Rhodes. Graveside service and burial is 2:00 PM, Monday, November 3, at Robertstown Cemetery with Rev. Johnny McCoy officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
