Thomas V. Thornton, 67, of Morrilton, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013, at the Arkansas River Valley Hospice Home. He was born July 11, 1945, in Casa Grande, AZ, son of the late Jesse and Ethel Patterson Thornton. He loved music and played guitar. He was a great mechanic, and was loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; great-granddaughter, Patricia Ann Meyer; and son and daughter-in-law, Sammie and Fayrene Patrick. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marjorie Thornton of Morrilton; his children, Jimmy and wife Theresa Patrick of Oregon, Patsy and husband Albert Gardner of Texas, Roy and wife Kathey Zachery of Clinton, Roseanna and husband Billy Ledford of Adona, Diann West of Cabot, and Tammi Thornton of Morrilton; sister, Martha Anderson of California; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. Memorial visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Lemley Chapel. A family dinner will follow at the Atkins VFW. Private burial will be held at a later date.
