Tony Wygal

Tony Redrick Wygal, 75, of Hector, died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at his home. He was born January 25, 1936 in Childress, Texas to the late Grady and Pauline Cook Wygal. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Sue and Shirley LaRue; and a brother, Mickey Forrest Wygal. He was a Army Veteran and played semi-pro baseball in the Texas League. He loved to Rodeo in his early years, and loved coaching little league baseball and fishing. He also loved having his grandkids and great-grandkids over, and his passion was building furniture in his workshop. He is survived by his wife, Jackey Kirk Wygal; son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Carol Wygal; daughter, Cheri Denise McGee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Jonelle Wygal and Roland and Becky Bruce; grandchildren, Michael McGee, Scott McGee, Traci McGee Johnson, Jessica Wygal and Mickey Wygal; and great-grandchildren, Aaron , Payton, Kole and Tristin McGee, Sadie Johnson and Ridge Wygal. Graveside service and burial will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Rock Springs Cemetery with the Rev. James Chronister officiating. Services are by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Pallbearers will be Scott McGee, Michael McGee, Mickey Wygal, Terry Perrault, and Roy Wygal.
