Walter M. Kirkley, 57, of Atkins, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Baptist Health Center. He was born September 9, 1956, in Connell’s Point, Arkansas, son of the late John and Lillian Rushin Kirkley. He retired from Firestone Tube Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank Everett Kirkley, SR, and brother-in-law, Bobby Parker. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dollie Kirkley , 2 daughter and sons-in-law, Stacy and husband Jeremy Pack and Tracy and husband Jerrod Smith; grandson, Landon Pack all of Atkins; brother, Johnny and wife Shirley Kirkley of Hot Springs; 2 sisters and brother-in-law, JoAnn Parker of Helena, Peggy and husband Johnny Martin of Lexa; like a brother, Lester and wife Debbie Skelton of McAllen, Texas, sister-in-law, Ruth Jenkins of Paragould; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Friday, March 14, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Mark Spencer and Rev. Floyd McKee officiating. Burial is at 3:00 PM in Turner Cemetery at Marvell by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday. Pallbearers are his nephews, Frank Kirkley, Jr., Heath Parker, Chad Kirkley, Brad Kirkley, Jonathan Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Terrell Rackley, Carl stubbs and all the guys from Carl’s place, Gary Turner, Earnest Smith, Holly Hickman, Doug Higgins, Allan Rowland, Dale Rowland, James Ray Hickman and all his friends from Firestone Tube Company.
