Wayne Eugene Douthit Obituary

Wayne Eugene Douthit was born to Coy Eugene Douthit and Hazel Brannon Douthit November 3, 1944, in Morrilton, Arkansas, and passed from this life May 9, 2020. He was loved and respected by the many lives he touched throughout his lifetime as a pastor and preacher of the gospel. Know that this wonderful man of God is now singing praise in the presence of God with a host of family and friends that have gone on to the heavenly wonders that he has taught about and looked for his whole life. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, JoAnn Epperson and Betty Lou Vickers; and 2 great-grandchildren that he has joined in Heaven. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maudie Douthit; his five children, Kenneth Douthit, Michael Douthit and wife Tracy, Kevin Douthit and wife Traci, Marlon Douthit and wife Jeanne, Larissa and husband Wesley Thompson; 14 loving grandchildren; 7 loving great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Martha Nell Brace and Ella Mae Alder; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service and burial is 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 13, at St. Joe Cemetery with Rev. Johnny McCoy and Rev. Jim Mize officiating. Pallbearers are Wesley Thompson, Gage Thompson, Ethan Douthit, Tommy Douthit, Josh Douthit, Cody Mitchell, Seth Stewart, and Claude Mize.
