William "Bill" Parks

William “Bill” Parks, 65, of Hector, died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Johnson County Regional Medical Center. He was born May 17, 1946 in Tilly, the son of Luther Tobe Parks and Edna Mae Hill Parks Coffman. He attended Cedar Grove Church and was constable of Jackson Township for 28 years. He was a member of the Hector Masonic Lodge #497 and he loved hunting, fishing and peddlin’ produce. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Floyd Parks; step-father, “Peck” Coffman; and a sister, Shirley Annette Parks. He is survived by his wife, Myrene; 4 sons, Billy Parks, Scotty Crow and wife Lindsay, Markus Parks and Nikkey Parks; 4 daughters, Demetria Parks, Tina Parks, Monica Parks McDaniel and husband Johnny, and Mandy Crow; 4 grandsons, Dayton Ross, Jason Ross, Jakai McDaniel and Keyshawn Embry; 2 brothers, Ricky Parks and wife Colleen, and Troy Coffman and wife Becky; and 3 sisters, Judy Smith and husband Larry Don, Martha Owens, and Mary Warren and husband Mike. Funeral service is 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 10, at Hector Assembly of God Church with Bro. Bob Judkins, Bro. Shane Williams and Scotty Crow officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday. Pallbearers are Billy Parks, Scotty Crow, Ricky Parks, Billy Wayne Tackett, Billy Pruitt and Larry Don Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Troy Coffman, Mike Warren, Donnie Hickey, Johnny McDaniel, Fred Ross, Tony Mackie, Mickey Turney, Roger Standridge, Carrol Owens, Buckie Snyder, Rickey Pruitt, Buddy Coffman and Taylor Reddell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the William Parks Memorial Fund, c/o Lemley Funeral Service, P.O. Box 126, Atkins, AR 72823.
