William O. Hambright, 90, of Lamar, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, at Countryside Manor Nursing Center. He was born January 8, 1921 in Casa the son of Walter and Mary Alice Douglas Hambright. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mitchell Hambright; 3 brothers, Frank Hambright, L.B. Hambright and Wesley Gibson; 3 sisters, Marie Hoag, Gladys Ellis and Ethel Mae Mitchell; and a great-grandson, Justin Beavers. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Monte and Betty Hambright; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Richard Banko and Christina and Charley Matherne, Jr. ; 3 brothers, Eugene Hambright, Grover Gibson and Ira J. Hambright; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Graveside service and burial is 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 2 at Casa Cemetery with Rev. David Bishop officiating. Visitation is from 6-7:30 PM Tuesday at Lemley Chapel.
