Dwight Tibbett

Dwight Douglas Tibbett, 70, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 in his home. He was born on February 19, 1947 in Morrilton, AR. He was a veteran of both the Army and the Air Force and retired from the 188th Air National Guard. Dwight also was a retired tool and die maker from Trane Corporation, the past president of the UAW 716 and a member of Flight Masters. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Funeral services are 11:00AM, Friday, September 22, 2017 at Temple Baptist Church with burial with honors to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife Connie of the home; two daughters, Kristy Tibbett and Kerry Edwards both of Fort Smith, AR; a brother, Bill Ray Tibbett of Oklahoma City, OK and two grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Thursday, September 21st at the funeral home.
