James Earl “Jim” Reed, 83 passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 in his home. He was retired from Arkansas Highway Police Weight Division serving 25 years. He was a founding charter member of Grandview Assembly of God Church in Natural Dam. He was preceded in death by his parents James Wallace & Lena (Comstock) Reed. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Grandview Assembly of God in Natural Dam with burial at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren. He is survived by his wife Delores (Nobles) Reed of the home; three daughters Brenda Brewer and her husband Ed of Van Buren, Miranda Cluck and her husband John of Cedarville, and Cindy Mooney and her husband Rick of Natural Dam; Seven grandchildren Angela Giberson and her husband Paul of Nyrobi Kenya, Africa, Justin Brewer and his wife Amy of Van Buren, Tanya Cross and her husband Todd of Natural Dam, Katrina Payton of Van Buren, Erica Bankston and her husband Cody of Natural Dam, Gabrielle Mooney of Van Buren, and James Shay Mooney of Natural Dam; Nine Great-great grandchildren Ragan Giberson, Riley Giberson, Reese Giberson, Cade Cross, Jax Cross, Reed Payton, Denver Payton, Ellie Bankston, Shiloh Bankston; numerous nieces and nephews. Family will visit with friends and relatives Friday, January 3, 2014 from 7-8 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren 700 Jefferson Street. Pallbearers will be son-in-laws Ed Brewer, John Cluck, Rick Mooney, grandsons Justin Brewer, Shay Mooney, Todd Cross, Cody Bankston, and Ray Riley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Johns, Dee Johnson, James Rose, Ralph Weese, Dariel Russell, Bill Vickery, Vernon Russell, Bill Alstatt, Troy Young
