Patricia Werner

Patricia N. Werner of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away in her home on Thursday, August 9, 2018. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to James Newcombe Norris III and Catherine Calvin Norris. She was a retired teacher of Senior English at Northside High School, she received her Bachelor’s Degree from Hunter College of New York, NY and her Master’s in counseling from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. She was a current member and organist at Trinity Episcopal Church in Van Buren, Arkansas and a former member and organist for 25 years at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church. Mrs. Werner was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, PEO, American Guild of Organists and the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association. Memorial services are 11:00AM, Friday, August 17, 2018 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Van Buren. She is survived by her husband, Charles T. Werner of the home; a nephew David Williams and his wife Joan of Elkmont, AL and a sister in law, Bernice Dicks of Albuquerque, NM. Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 382 Van Buren, AR 72956. Cremation and services are under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
