Terry Whitledge

Terry Lee Whitledge, 61, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in a Benton, Arkansas hospital. He was born on September 20, 1959 in Fort Smith to Rev. Bill and Norma Jean (Pigg) Whitledge. Terry was a retired Choir Director and Music Teacher of the Van Buren School District and a member of Arkoma First Baptist Church. Terry loved both the Razorbacks and the St. Louis Cardinal’s. He was preceded in death by his father Rev. Bill Whitledge and an infant sister Billie Jean Whitledge. Funeral service is 10:00 AM, Saturday April 10, 2021 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith with cremation to follow. The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Friday at the funeral home. He is survived by his daughter, Micah Boerjan and her husband Chris of Van Buren; his mother, Norma Jean Whitledge of Fort Smith; two sisters, Becky Hardcastle and her husband Lee of Fort Smith and Melinda Bowman and her husband Michael of Van Buren and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Boerjan, Lee and Trevor Hardcastle, Michael Bowman, Hayden Ohm, Nick Pagel and Bobby and Verlin Akers. Memorials may be made to Gideons International P.O.
