Billy Curt Beavers, 85, of Lake Village, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019. Curt was born July 26, 1934 in Lake Village, Arkansas to the late Henry and Elizabeth Hackett Beavers. He graduated from Lakeside High School, where he was a member of the track team that won the state championship in 1952. After graduating, he became a licensed barber. A few years later he started farming, until retiring after 30 years. Curt would occasionally fill in to help out local barbers. He was an avid hunter who also enjoyed riding horses and growing watermelons to give away to friends & family. Curt loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Brossette Beavers; brothers, Vernon Beavers, Homer Beavers and Dewey Beavers and his sisters, Cloyce Koch and Margaret Chinn. Survivors include his special friend, Patsy Selby; son, Russ (Tammy) Beavers; daughters, Cindy (Doug) Self and Valerie (Danyelle) Beavers all of Lake Village, AR; grandchildren, Corey Auerswald, Calley McNemar, Molly Hensley, Sarah Cardin, Tracy Johnson, Lincoln Beavers; great-grandchildren, Cooper McNemar, Ben McNemar, John Curt Auerswald, Logan Cardin, Case Cardin, Tucker Cardin. Adelynn Johnson and Ava Johnson. Visitation will be held at 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Lake Village Baptist Church in Lake Village, AR. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the church with Rev. Tim Chennault officiating. Burial will be held at Portland Cemetery.
