Danny William Edward Grimes, 61, of Dermott, Arkansas passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019. He was born in Dermott, Arkansas on October 12, 1957 to the late Edward William Grimes and Jean Harmon Grimes. Danny worked as a contractor for over 35 years. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Danny was very personable. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Danny was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Dermott, AR. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Grimes. Survivors include his mother, Jean Grimes of Dermott, AR; daughter, Lesley Thompson of Magnolia, AR; sisters, Marcia (Ken) Rollins of Cantonment, FL and Terrie (Pat) Bevill of Houston, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 1:00-2:00 pm Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service Chapel in McGehee, AR. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Bobby Franklin and Rev. Jody Gannaway officiating. Burial will be at Dermott Cemetery.
